JUIDA is expanding its activities not only in Japan, but also overseas through collaboration with various organizations, participation in international standardization activities, and organization and support to exhibitions and symposiums.
In the future, JUIDA will strengthen its effort in understanding and supporting the international trends of drones.
JUIDA has signed Memorandum of Understanding with 30 organizations in 22 countries (Feb 2021). With the MOU we have built strong international partnerships, and are able to strengthen and expand our support to members through introducing them with the latest news and information overseas, and connecting national and international corporates for business matching and information exchange.

International Standardization Activities
JUIDA contributes to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) with the support of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and the Japanese Standards Association.
JUIDA is actively working in the “ISO / TC20 / SC16”, Technical Committee for Unmanned aircraft systems to establish the international standards for education and training with the experience of the accredited school system.
In February 2021, “ISO23665: Unmanned aircraft systems — Training for personnel involved in UAS operations” was published. This was the first accepted drone international standards proposed from Japan and JUIDA has been lead this project.

International Support and Events
With the support from international partners, JUIDA organizes overseas inspection tours and conducts activities that contribute to members’ overseas expansions and technology development. JUIDA also participates in overseas exhibitions actively, promoting JUIDA and the Japanese drone industry globally.
