JUIDA INFO

On June 5, 2024, JUIDA signed a memorandum of understanding with AUVSI (the world’s largest drone organization) of the United States at Japan Drone/IAAM 2024, Japan’s largest drone/next-generation air mobility exhibition.

The 9th Japan Drone 2024 and the 3rd Next Generation Air Mobility EXPO 2024 were held at Makuhari Messe for three days from Wednesday, June 5th, with the theme of “Now, ON to the NEXT ERA”. This year, both exhibitions combined exhibited a record 261 companies and organizations, and the number of visitors during the event was also a record high of 21,273, and the event ended with great success.

The venue was packed with excitement as Mr. William Irby, chairperson of AUVSI, the world’s largest drone organization, gave a keynote speech. The signing ceremony for the memorandum of understanding with JUIDA was held in a separate room, still in the same enthusiastic mood.

■Message from AUVSI
The Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) is the world’s largest nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of uncrewed systems and robotics. AUVSI was founded more than 50 years ago and, today, represents corporations and professionals from more than 60 countries involved in industry, government and academia. AUVSI members work in the defense, civil and commercial markets.

In partnership with Messe Düsseldorf North America (MDNA), AUVSI hosts XPONENTIAL – the largest annual trade show for global leaders and end users of autonomy, drones, and robotics.

AUVSI seeks to create a future in which remotely operated and autonomous technologies are fully accepted, valued, and used to move people, things, and data safely, securely, and efficiently. These technologies will provide broad and lasting societal benefits, economic growth, and national security to those who use them. To move the world toward this vision, AUVSI serves as the industry’s multi-domain, multi-sector focal point to convene the creators, users and regulators of this technology to build solutions, regulate their use appropriately, and articulate their utility.

With this MOU as a partnership, AUVSI and JUIDA will work together to further develop the drone markets in the United States and Japan.
