JUIDA and TEDIBOA Sign MOU at Japan Drone 2025 – Advancing Peaceful Use of Drones and Japan-Taiwan Industrial Collaboration

On June 4, 2025, during the opening day of the “10th Japan Drone / 4th Next Generation Air Mobility EXPO” held at Makuhari Messe, the Japan UAS Industrial Development Association (JUIDA) and the Taiwan Excellence Drone Industry Business Opportunities Alliance (TEDIBOA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at promoting the peaceful use of drones and fostering international industrial cooperation.

The signing ceremony took place within the exhibition venue, attended by key figures from both the public and private sectors of Taiwan, including representatives from the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) and Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation (AIDC), both under the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) of Taiwan. At the subsequent networking reception, participants from Japan and Taiwan exchanged views on future cooperation, affirming their shared commitment to deeper industrial collaboration in the drone sector.

The MOU reflects the shared vision of JUIDA and TEDIBOA to promote the peaceful application of drone technologies. It sets the foundation for broader collaboration, not only in technical exchange but also in areas such as regulatory frameworks, education, and human resource development through participation in international exhibitions and joint initiatives.

At Japan Drone 2025, 18 companies participated in the Taiwan Pavilion organized under the leadership of the Taiwanese government, occupying 16 booths and making a strong international impression. This prominent presence underscored growing momentum for Japan and Taiwan’s joint efforts to strengthen competitiveness in the global market.

This MOU serves as a model for international industrial collaboration in Asia and represents a meaningful step toward the sustainable development of the global drone industry.

JUIDA remains committed to advancing the social implementation and peaceful use of drone technologies, while strengthening industrial foundations both in Japan and globally through strategic international partnerships.
