JUIDA and CIT-U Sign MOU at Japan Drone 2025 — Promoting Drone Education Collaboration in the Philippines —
On the final day of the “10th Japan Drone / 4th International Advanced Air Mobility Expo,” held from June 4 to 6, 2025, at Makuhari Messe, JUIDA (Japan UAS Industrial Development Association) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with CIT-University (Cebu Institute of Technology – University, or CIT-U), a well-established university based in Cebu, Philippines.
This year’s Japan Drone / IAAM 2025 event saw many first-time attendees from the Philippines, including senior officials from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), representatives from a disaster management specialist companies, and members of CIT-U. Their participation demonstrated strong interest from the Philippine side in promoting the drone industry.
At the MOU signing ceremony, Mr. John Gregory B. Escario, Vice President for Administration of CIT-U, and Shinji Suzuki, President of JUIDA, exchanged signatures and pledged to promote educational collaboration going forward.
CIT-U plays a key role in developing specialized drone education infrastructure based in Cebu and supports the advancement of the drone industry throughout the Philippines. JUIDA will provide its proven know-how in operating accredited drone schools in Japan and work together with CIT-U to nurture the next generation of drone engineers in the Philippines.
