■What is Helicus?
Helicus is a leading unmanned aviation technology company that offers (1) drone-agnostic ground handling automation hardware, (2) drone-agnostic Command & Control Center software, (3) validated drone-agnostic payloads. All solutions support open modular architecture (mandatory in Europe) and comply with DORAI requirements (Drone Operator Requirements Aero Initiative).

Founded in 2016, Helicus organized urban inter-hospital flights as of 2019, and was the first operator to obtain EASA-compliant operational authorizations for urban medical flights beyond line of sight (BVLOS) in 2022 and medical cargo flight per passenger drone (650kg MTOM) adjacent to populated area in 2023 in the European Union. It also coordinates R&D projects and collaborations for a multi-sectorial ecosystem of over 100 organizations that jointly integrates their solutions to enable reliable drone-based logistics at scale.

Our strategic partnership with JUIDA is another major step to align and integrate safe & robust solutions at an international level. JUIDA and Helicus share the vision to build a joint ecosystem that supports the social & ecological challenges of the future.
