Co-founders of M&K Global (DroneTalks and Murzilli Consulting) Visit JUIDA to Exchange Views on Regulatory Coordination and Industry Promotion
On August 5, 2025, two co-founders of M&K Global — Eszter Kovács and Lorenzo Murzilli — visited the headquarters of JUIDA. M&K Global is the unified organization of DroneTalks and Murzilli Consulting.
DroneTalks is an online platform that connects the drone community through shared ideas and educational content. It is deeply involved in European regulations such as the U-space policy and EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency), serving as a neutral platform connecting regulators, companies, and investors, and contributing to the global development of the drone industry.
Murzilli Consulting is a digital aviation consultancy firm that supports clients in succeeding with their regulation and compliance strategies.
This visit was arranged at the strong request of M&K Global, in conjunction with a training session on European drone regulations for Japanese government agencies, to hold discussions with JUIDA, which has played a significant role in promoting the drone industry in Japan from a private-sector perspective.
Representing JUIDA, Vice President Chida, Executive Director & Secretary General Kumada, Director Kubo, and others attended the meeting, where active exchanges of views took place regarding drone-related laws and regulations, industrial structures, and the challenges and prospects faced in both Europe and Japan. In particular, they shared understandings on a wide range of topics including the respective roles of government and private sectors in regulatory design, the development of education and certification systems, approaches to airspace management, and concepts of risk assessment. The discussions were meaningful and laid a solid foundation for future cooperation aimed at regulatory harmonization.
Following the meeting, a social gathering was held that further deepened the trust between both parties. M&K Global expressed strong interest in the unique, private-sector-led regulatory framework and school certification system that JUIDA has developed in Japan. Likewise, JUIDA highly valued the latest insights into European regulations and the extensive global network that M&K Global possesses. Moving forward, through continuous information exchange, both organizations aim to promote cooperation between Japan and Europe in regulatory and industrial matters and jointly advance the realization of a sustainable drone society.
